TYPES OF WALK
DIFFICULTY LEVELS
EASY
Easy level of difficulty on the walk, with a maximum distance of about 6 km (3,7 mi) and difference in altitude of about 200 m (656 ft). The terrain is mainly tarmac road, gravel road or well beaten path. The itinerary is suitable for everyone, also for children. It doesn’t require any training or any particular physical state. Pacing on these walks is about 2 km/h (1,2 mi/h).
INTERMEDIATE
Medium level of difficulty on the walk, with a distance between 7 and 15 km (4,3 and 9,3 mi) and a difference in altitude between 300 and 800 m (984 and 2624 ft). The itinerary chosen could involve narrow paths, with uneven terrain. The characteristics of these itineraries require walking equipment and level of fitness that allows a 4/5 hours walk. Pacing on these walks is medium, between 2,5/3 km/h (1,5/1,8 mi/h).
DIFFICULT
Hike with a higher level of difficulty, given by the length of the walk, which is over 15 km (9,3 mi), and the difference in altitude that can be over 800 m (2624 ft). The itinerary can involve narrow paths, with uneven terrain. The characteristics of these itineraries require hiking equipment and a level of fitness that allows a 6/7 hours walk. Pacing on these walks is medium, between 2,5/3 km/h (1,5/1,8 mi/h). On the hike ropes, ice axe and crampons are not needed.
